Netaji Subhas Chandra Basu was an out and out Anti-Imperialist. He knew that any kind of compromise would lead to the benefit of Imperialism. He believed in armed struggle for the salvation of one's motherland."We are, therefore, fighting not for the cause of India alone but of humanity as well. India freed means humanity saved".
